Privacy policy

How we handle your data

Signal is a payment-first validation platform. This policy explains what information we collect when founders create projects, visitors join waitlists, and customers complete reservation payments.

Information we collect

We collect the information needed to operate the product, including account details such as your name, email address, avatar, and authentication provider. For project performance, we store project content you publish, visitor analytics identifiers, waitlist submissions, and reservation payment records.

How we use information

We use this information to create and secure accounts, host public idea pages, measure visits and conversions, manage waitlists, confirm paid reservations, and support the day-to-day operation of the platform. We may also use service data to diagnose bugs, prevent abuse, and improve product reliability.

Payments

Reservation payments are processed through Razorpay. We store the payment data required to reconcile orders and show founders their conversion results, such as order identifiers, payment status, amount, currency, payer email, and payer name when available. Full card details are not stored by this application.

Analytics and identifiers

To measure traffic and attribute conversions, the product generates a visitor identifier in the browser and associates it with page visits, waitlist joins, and successful reservation activity. This helps founders understand demand for their ideas without requiring every visitor to create an account.

When we share data

We share data only with the service providers needed to run the platform, such as authentication, hosting, database, and payment infrastructure partners, or when required by law. We do not sell personal information collected through the product.

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as it is reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain business records, and resolve disputes. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect stored data, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can request updates or deletion of account information that is not required for legal, fraud prevention, or financial recordkeeping purposes. Founders are responsible for the content they publish and for handling any follow-up with their own waitlist or paying customers in compliance with applicable law.

Policy updates

We may revise this policy as the product, infrastructure, or legal obligations evolve. Updated versions become effective when posted on this page.
